Pragmatism and lucidity: the estate’s rebirth

In 2009, when Château du Moulin-à-Vent was for sale, Édouard Parinet and his father, Jean-Jacques, jumped on the occasion. Passionate and accustomed to wine, especially fine Moulin-à-Vent wines, both men harbour no doubt in their mind:  the Beaujolais area was going through difficult times and the rebirth of the estate would be a superb challenge for them.
Joined by Brice Laffond in 2013, all three men lean on an invaluable asset: the strength on the terroir.

All eyes on details

Since 2013, we have stopped using synthetic products. After 8 years of work to reorganise the vineyard, we began our conversion to Organic Farming in 2021. Both social and socially responsible, this commitment is also a guarantee that we can take full advantage of the richness of our terroirs, protect our soils and, ultimately, ensure the best possible adaptation to climate change.

Massal selection: diversity and sustainability

Our ecological commitment also includes preserving the genetic diversity of the grape variety, known as “massal selection”.
After more than 10 years observation of the vines, we have identified the individuals best acclimatised to our environment. Our nurseries extract their shoots to develop and replant new vines, enabling us to control their quality and longevity, and anticipate the adaptation of our vineyard to future evolutionary scenarios.
